Cody Breese Thomas is an artist from Muskegon, Michigan.

Through clay, bronze & found objects, he examines concepts such as nostalgia, morality, & telos in an effort to understand the fidelity of human connection & the unraveling of social traditions.

As a meditation on meaning & making, Thomas seeks to maintain an equilibrium amidst the paradoxical nature of modernity.

Currently studying ceramics, sculpture & design at the University of Nevada, Reno, Thomas utilizes elements such as texture, gesture, line & levity to probe the nuances of society’s moral cognition.

Beyond his studio practice, he is also president of Tuscarora Pottery School, where he assists in perpetuating the communal nature of pottery.
